We Are Both The Observer And The Observed

A critical insight within the Theory of Sovereign Reflectivity is that we exist in a constant state of reflectivity - we are both the observer and the observed, the creator and the created. Some understandings around this include:

  • As conscious beings, we can observe our minds, thoughts, and emotions. We can witness the ego's tendencies, patterns of thinking, and limiting beliefs from an outside perspective. This is what allows us to choose then to revise or release them. We are both the thinker and watchers of our thoughts.

  • Through meditation and mindfulness practices, we develop the ability to observe the chatter of our minds rather than get caught up and swept away by it. We realize we are more than just our thoughts or the stories our minds weave. There is a space between us and the reason that can provide greater clarity and perspective.

  • Our lives unfold based on the beliefs, choices, and frequencies we have cultivated - yet at any moment, we can observe this creation process and make new choices. We are directing our experience and watching it manifest in a feedback loop. This is the essence of reflectivity.

  • We often get trapped in ego desires, emotions, and melodramas - yet an aspect of our awareness remains untouched by these passing dramatics. This eternal, uninvolved witnessing presence exists behind the veil of all that changes. It is what we tap into through self-reflection.

  • No aspect of our human experience - thoughts, emotions, beliefs, identities, successes, failures - defines our deepest essence. We are consciousness itself, experiencing all of these mortal realms temporarily. Clarity arises when we observe the worlds we get lost in rather than identify with them.

  • The realization that we are eternal consciousness enables a perspective where we view our human self as though from a higher vantage point. There is a multi-dimensional aspect of the self-observing human drama unfolding - yet we often lose awareness of these other layers of our being. Self-reflection helps illuminate them once more.

  • We realize that we have always remained untouched by any experience. There is peace in knowing this eternal essence of awareness rests behind all that comes and goes - and we can rest in it. We are unchanging, observing the changing.

When we release attachment to any single layer of our identity or experience and observe ourselves as multi-dimensional beings, we start to understand what it means to exist in a constant state of reflectivity. We awaken to the creator within - and the infinite potential of our eternal nature. This is the promise of reflectivity.
